Viniculture

Up to 2002 irrigation in viticulture was heavily regulated in Germany. Since changing the legal situation it can be observed that more and more vineyards are equipped with drip irrigation systems. Irrigation is helpful not only in extremely dry summers, but generally recommended to increase grape quality and allow more rapid breeding of seedlings.

In many wine regions there is no adequate infrastructure for water supply, the water must be provided by new wells or even trucks. A measurement of soil moisture with the sensor SMT100 of TRUEBNER makes it possible to reduce the amount of water required to a minimum and thus saves costs
